Aftercare is as essential as cultivating a intentional space prior to intimacy. Turning "off" through turning "in" is a practice which can leave us creating healthy dependency on our bodies and partner(s) so we do not get too attached or reliant on a specific feeling. Being intimate creates intense chemical reactions, which feel good! How we direct that energy afterwards so we can use it for our highest self is important so we are optimizing the ways in which we feel and create relationships moving forward as we deescalate from an intense experience, as pleasurable as it maybe.
